Waterline Maintenance Worker

The City of Newcastle is now accepting applications for a waterline maintenance worker until the position is filled. Repair waterlines and other Water Dept. duties; very physical work. Must be able to obtain an OK Class D water license and CDL Class B driver’s license within six months of employment. Applicant must be able to use and maintain a variety of tools and equipment. Must be able to push, pull, and lift heavy materials up to 50 lb. on a frequent basis. Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Valid OK driver’s license, drug screen and satisfactory background check required.

Level 1 Planner

The City of Newcastle is currently accepting applications for the position of Level I Planner. Under general supervision, the Level I Planner performs professional-level planning work involving research, analysis, and technical assistance on a variety of projects. Expected to perform in the following functional areas: planning and zoning review, subdivision review, permit plans review, and long-term and short-term planning. Office hours are generally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Attendance to after-hours public meetings such as Planning Commission and City Council may be required. Reserve Police Officer

The City of Newcastle is seeking applications for the position of Reserve Police Officer

Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age;
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must have a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
  • No felony convictions or charges of domestic abuse.
  • Must pass a Personal History Statement;
  • Must pass a background investigation;
  • Must pass a psychological evaluation;
  • Must pass a hiring board;
  • Be able to pass CLEET/Reserve Academy.
