City Applications & Permits
Completed applications should be submitted to Building Services to obtain required permits. Building permits also require the submission of plans and possibly other documents. Please review the application requirements that are applicable to your project before submitting your application.
Step 1 – Application Submittal
Completed applications and required plans are submitted to Building Services.
Step 2 – Review Process
A plan reviewer will determine if your project is in compliance with construction codes, engineering requirements, zoning, and city ordinances.
Step 3 – Permit Approval
You will receive notification that your application has been approved. Upon receipt of the permit fee, your permit will be issued granting you permission to legally start construction! You must proceed as approved in the review process.
For commercial projects you are required to post the permit in a window or other prominent place at the construction site and keep a copy of the approved building plans at the site.
Bring any proposed changes to the attention of the building official immediately. Changes may require another review and approval in the same manner as the original application.
