Public Participation in Remote Meetings
In light of recent events and public health and transparency, the City of Newcastle is exploring options that afford the public a full opportunity to participate in city meetings without compromising public health and safety.
Email Your Questions
Citizens who have questions relating to specific agenda item(s) must submit their questions in advance of the meeting by emailing the city clerk at firstname.lastname@example.org
Deadline For Questions
Deadline for submission of questions is end-of-business on the Friday prior to the meeting. The City Clerk will acknowledge receipt of emailed questions.
All questions must:
- Include the name and address of the person making the inquiry
- Include the name and address of any affected party or property
- Relate to a specific agenda item
- Be clear and concise
**Members may decline to address questions that do not meet these criteria.
Emailed questions will be forwarded to the members of the appropriate board, committee, or council for possible comment or response at their meeting.

Meetings held by teleconference are hosted on Zoom ( https://zoom.us/ ) You may connect using a computer or smartphone, or using a regular phone call. Review the specific meeting agenda for instructions (click here).
